It’s a strange way the universe works. Its friendly and accommodative, yet the uncanny ways in which It was an early February evening. The onset of summers with mixed wintery feelings. The sky was grey, with glimpses of the sun slicing through the clouds. The quietness was pierced by the shrieking honking of the cars. Delhi has indeed changed. Every second person now doesn’t live to get the H1B visa unlike the mid-90s. People now crave for recognition. Courtesy Dhirubhai Ambani, all the auto drivers got addicted to cell phones and then came the Chinese invasion on the electronics market. Now the much appreciated value added service of downloading Bollywood music is doing a great business courtesy people from the middle income group. Anyway, too much detailing digresses the original thought behind every article. Talking about recognition, it begins when the first clap of the mother starts at the walk of the child. A step or a giant leap depends on how you see it. This was probably my few steps of coming to terms with life. Somehow, a few years back I found people all over the world connecting to speak to me and get some suggestions - a wastage of time; until I met my mentor. One of my last posts also mentions the way the convent connected me back to a few school seniors. I thought maybe it was a way that I could connect through the world and probably start living the way a common girl of my age lives – partying, working, enjoying each moment – not that I had stopped enjoying, though it had reached a new level altogether. As I paced up the three floored house to reach the terrace, the warm welcome of Sikander, the Pekinese made my day. I realized that love actually needs no language. Before this, I had no affection for the canines. I preferred to avoid looking at them. This time, it was different. The lovely thing did not leave me even for a wee bit. A great change for me – I started adoring dogs again. I was always called as the evolved soul by people I met, however, I guess evolution stopped moment we became technology driven.
